Home-made hummus is soo yummy and very easy to make. It's better for you and has less preservatives than the store-bought stuff. It goes really well with cut up veggies and crackers for the kids. Pile up loads of veggies with it and they'll have fun eating it!
1 can of chickpeas drained (you can also use dried chickpeas and soak them overnight)
3 garlic cloves
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons tahini
1 teaspoon ground cumin
Juice of one lemon
Salt and pepper
Drain and rinse your chickpeas until all the juices are off them and leave to drain.
Simply add all of the ingredients to the food processor and blend until smooth.
Remove from food processor and add to cups. Cut up some fresh veggies and stack them in ready to eat!
